Christmas Bazaars

Although it was early in the year, I took my bowls to the Christmas Bazaar which was being run by the Ormiston Families Charity.  It was a fabulous occasion with a good number of people coming to enjoy a glass of wine and a canape whilst perusing the stalls and making purchases.  Thanks to Sally, my good friend, who helped me set up the stall and encouraged people to buy, which they did!  (Am I allowed to say that Hugh Bonneville was evident?!  Such an enhancement to the occasion!)

My next event was another Christmas Fair in the Chelsea Old Town Hall.  (I gather George Clooney got married there!)  The room was incredibly beautiful and well set up for visitors to take time to consider their purchases.  This was run by the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity; another good cause that ended with a Quiz Night, hosted by Clive Andersen.  Thanks again to Sally for her stalwart support and encouragement and to Gill Raikes for making this happen - and for buying some bowls!
